In the book of Mark Chapter 9 versus 14-19 Jesus and his disciples were in the midst of a large crowd. A man said he brought his son who is possessed by a spirit that robbed him of his speech. The spirit throws his son to the ground. It makes the boy gnash his teeth and become rigid when it attacks him, the man says. The man asks Jesus to drive the spirit out. He declares he already went to one of the disciples and he couldn’t do it.
They brought the boy to Jesus. When the spirit saw Jesus he made the boy fall to the ground and threw the boy into convulsions. He rolled around in the dirt foaming at the mouth.
Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been going on?”
The man answered, “Ever since he was a little boy. Many times it pitches him into fire or the river to do away with him. IF you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us.”
Jesus said, “If? There are no ifs among believers.”
Jesus ordered the spirit out of the boy’s body and the spirit left him.
Are you living in a world of ifs? Do you not believe that Jesus is here for you? And will never forsake you? Do you think that your problems are bigger than Jesus?

For that man to tell Jesus IF you can do anything… At this time Jesus has been peforming miracles throughout the land. Healing the sick and raising the dead. Spreading the good news! And this man has the audacity to say IF. Jesus has a proven track record. I’m sure Jesus was thinking, “Are you serious right now?”
Jesus will never run out of blessings. He will always be in the blessing business. It’s not a matter of IF he is going to do it the fact is in the WHEN.
So, if you find yourself in a season of wait. A season of praying consistently, being deep in God’s word, sowing your seed; have faith and stay strong. Make sure you are preparing yourself for the blessing you are asking for while you are waiting. Please change your way of thinking to if God blesses you but when. When you change your perception to when, your determination and perseverance kicks in. That feeling of unease fades away. No matter the challenges you may come across. Or the hills you might have to climb. It will not stop your hope and faith in God.
Mark 9:23 MSG Jesus said, “If? There are no “ifs” among believers. Anything can happen.”
Anything can happen? Isn’t that a great feeling? You should just praise Jesus right there with that verse alone. Anything that is in God’s will for you will happen. No more living in the land of ifs my friend.
