You must remember that who were in the past you are not her/him anymore. Our true self is not defined by the world. By the unwavering love and grace of our Heavenly Father is where your true identity dwells. You are who God says you are friend.
Let’s consider the profound truth that your identity is in Christ by God’s word.
God Says I Am Loved
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ dies for us.”

In Romans 5:8 the word for “love” in Greek is “agape”. It signifies a selfless, sacrificial love. This type of love from God is unconditional and unchanging. Can you imagine someone loving you so profoundly that despite your wrongdoing, you are shown love anyway? Despite your sin and shortcomings to God’s word, he gave his only begotten son for you! There is no other love in this lifetime that you will ever receive such as this.
God Says I Am Accepted
Ephesians 1:6 “to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”

Have you ever felt unaccepted? Are you the black sheep of the family? The office clique never invites you out after work for happy hour? You feel like there is no one that will accept you for all that you are? I know someone that does! In Ephesians 1:6 the word “accepted” in Greek (charitoo) means “to make graceful” or “to endow special honor”. You are accepted and chosen by God. God loves all of you. He has given you special honor to be blessed and enter into his Kingdom. You don’t have to worry about God leaving you out! Through God you are always accepted, wanted, and needed for his purpose!
God Says I Am Forgiven
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

When you humbly come before God with a remorseful heart, things change. You acknowledge your sins and seek God’s forgiveness. As a result, you will experience the liberating power of His grace. How many times have you not forgave yourself? You hold on to some things you did wrong. Instead of repenting and letting God purify you, you spend years beating yourself up. God has forgiven you. Please forgive yourself. Give yourself grace.
Forgiveness is at the core of God’s being. You are called to embody this same spirit of forgiveness toward others. You can rest assured that God’s forgiveness is absolute and everlasting.
God Says I Am Never Alone
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Times when I really needed someone, I found myself on my knees sobbing to God. Praying for someone to come help me. Not realizing that who I needed I was already talking to. I was in the perfect position to pray and thank God for being right beside me. I was too immature in my spirit to recognize who has been there all along. Too focused on other things and not focused on the right things.
When you experience sorrow or grief, you can find solace in the presence of our Holy Father. His wisdom and guidance lead us to his promises. He ensures you are on the right path and never forsakes you. God commands you to be strong and courageous, knowing that his hand never will never leave you. Always guiding you along the path. Sometimes that path is broken. You are walking on glass. It’s dark on the path and you are lost. Know that God will never take his hands off of you. He is a constant source of comfort in your time of need.
God Says I Have A Purpose
Jeremiah 29:11 “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Have you ever wondered what your purpose is in life? Found yourself where you know you are not content where you are, but you don’t know which way to go? You don’t feel fulfilled. You feel like something is missing in your life. That is the time where you come to a quiet place and talk to our best friend. What a mighty friend we have in God! He will guide you in exactly what you are supposed to do.
When He was forming us with His very hands, He already knew our purpose. He made your purpose with the intention to show the world that He is who He says He is. He wants to prosper you and cause you no harm. He will give you hope and a prosperous future when you do His will. That is so good that this entire paragraph needs to read twice. Read it again!
Don’t ever think you do not have a purpose. Just go to God and pray that he reveals what His purpose is for you. He will lead you to it!
Embrace the truth that you are loved, accepted, and forgiven by our most high God. You will never be alone at any hour, nor any second of the day or night. He has put a purpose in you that will empower and others. Let this truth guide your thoughts, words, and actions as you walk in faith. Go forth in the assurance of who God says you are.
